Warehouse management / Put-away, slotting and replenishment
Put stock in the right place and keep pick faces full
Directs every receipt to the best place, keeps the layout matched to demand, and keeps pick faces stocked without spreadsheets.
Intelligent put-away: the right place first time
When goods arrive, the platform suggests where each item should go. It first removes locations that cannot work, then ranks what is left, so operatives are not guessing and stock does not end up in the wrong place.
It rules out locations that are:
- blocked, quarantined or otherwise not usable,
- the wrong storage type, or unsuitable for the product's hazard class,
- reserved for a pick face, already at maximum level, or too small or light for the goods.
It then prefers:
- locations that already hold the same product, to consolidate stock,
- locations suited to how fast the product sells, so fast movers land close to the pick face,
- the best-ranked location with the least wasted space.
Operatives can still choose a different location on the handheld. The system checks the choice before accepting it.
Slotting optimisation: a layout that follows demand
What sold best last year is not always what sells best now. Slotting compares each product's demand trend with the location it occupies, then recommends changes: fast movers to prime pick faces and slow movers to reserve.
- Analysis and preview show the proposed moves and their effect before anything changes.
- Supervisor review. Recommendations become move requests that a person approves, so nothing is relocated without a decision.
- Settings you control decide how the analysis weighs demand and how often it runs.

Replenishment and stock moves without spreadsheets
- Minimum and maximum levels per location, with alerts when a pick face falls below its minimum.
- One-click replenishment from reserve to the pick face.
- Consolidation of split stock into fewer locations.
- Express relocate from the portal or the handheld, when something just needs moving now.
- Found-stock requests for items discovered where the system did not expect them.
Exceptions handled properly
Damaged, missing and refused stock is never silently lost. Damaged items go to dedicated locations for review, missing stock is held until a supervisor writes it off or orders a recount, and blocked or quarantine locations are protected from picks and put-away. See stock ledger and counting.
Questions people ask
Can we override the suggested location?
Yes. The suggestion guides the operative, and a different location can be chosen on the device after the system checks it is suitable.
Does slotting change the warehouse by itself?
No. It recommends, and a supervisor decides. Approved changes become ordinary move jobs.
