Warehouse management / Handheld scanner app

A handheld app that guides every pick, put-away, count and move

Scan-to-confirm workflows that keep working through Wi-Fi blackspots and upload automatically when the scanner is back in range.

Scan to confirm, step by step

Operatives are guided through each job on the scanner. They scan the location, scan the product and confirm the quantity, and the app only moves on when the scan matches. A wrong item is caught at the shelf, not at the customer's door.

There are five workflows on the handheld: pick, put-away, count, move, and pick collation for batching several tickets into one walk.

Keeps working when the Wi-Fi does not

Warehouses have dead spots. The app is offline-first: every scan is stored on the device and shown as pending, then uploaded automatically when the scanner is back in range. Operatives never wait on a signal to carry on working, and nothing is lost.

Built for how floors really work

  • Pause and resume. Jobs can be paused with a reason and picked up again at the exact step where they stopped.
  • Exceptions on the spot. Record a shortage, flag damaged stock or refuse goods as they happen, instead of writing it down for later.
  • Stack elsewhere. If the planned location is unsuitable, change it on the device. The system checks the new location before accepting it.
  • Blind counts. Counters are not shown the expected quantity, which gives honest results.
  • Ad hoc work. Create a count or a move on the handheld when something needs checking or relocating right now.
  • Sensible timeouts. Inactivity warnings and sign-out are configurable per warehouse, and the screen stays awake during a job.
  • Quantity formats. Whole units or up to three decimal places, set per warehouse.

Easy to roll out

The app installs from a web address on Zebra and other Android scanners, so there is no app store to manage. Each device is registered once and must be approved by a supervisor before it can be used, and it can be disabled at any time from the portal. Updates install at a safe point, never in the middle of a job.

Questions people ask

Which scanners does it support?

It is designed for Zebra handhelds and works on other Android scanners with a built-in barcode reader. We would confirm your exact devices during a demonstration.

Do operatives need training?

Very little. The app tells them what to do next and checks every scan, so new starters become productive quickly.

Can supervisors see the work as it happens?

Yes. Progress uploads at a regular interval and appears in the supervisor portal and on the wallboards.
