Go live one area at a time

Warehouse projects fail when everything changes on one day. This platform lets you switch warehouse areas on separately, for each warehouse, so you can start with the part that matters most and add the rest when your team is ready.

There is a switch for each of five areas: inbound, outbound, count, move and inventory.

How it works

  • New work is blocked in a switched-off area. Nobody can create or release jobs there by accident.
  • Existing work finishes. Jobs already started are completed and their results still go back to your ERP.
  • Waiting work waits. Tickets and receipts that arrive from your ERP for an area that is off are held until you switch it on, and supervisors can still close them.
  • Screens follow the settings. The portal, the handheld and the wallboards hide an area that is switched off, so there is nothing confusing on screen.
  • A safety check. The settings page shows the open jobs in each area and warns you before you switch one off.

A sensible order

Illustrative example: A distributor starts with outbound only. Pickers use handhelds from day one, the wallboard shows the picking floor, and everything else carries on as before. Once picking is stable, inbound is switched on for put-away, then counting, and later the move and replenishment features. Each stage is small enough to learn and fix before the next.

Why customers like it

  • Training is spread across weeks, not squeezed into one.
  • You see the benefit of each area before committing to the next.
  • A problem in one area never stops the rest of the warehouse.
  • It fits the way we deliver everything else: in stages, with value early.

Questions people ask

Can different warehouses be at different stages?

Yes. The switches are set per warehouse, so one site can be fully live while another is still starting.

What if we switch an area off by mistake?

It can be switched back on at any time. Existing jobs are not lost.
